by

Former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) will travel to Mexico at the beginning of February, in another stage of the international trips that the leader of the polls of the voting intention in the presidential race is making to get closer to foreign leaders and project his pre-application.

Lula received an invitation to visit from President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, also from the left camp. The Brazilian recently made a tour of Europe and went to Argentina. Allies still have a desire for a trip to the United States, although for now there is nothing planned.

The PT member was also invited to attend the inauguration of the leftist Xiomara Castro in Honduras, on the 27th of this month, but he declined the invitation. His office says that he did not go to any foreign inauguration as a former president, which is the reason for the new refusal, accompanied by a thank you.

as showed the leaf, the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government decided not to send any representatives to the political event in the Central American country. Xiomara is the wife of former president Manuel Zelaya, who was close to the PT government when he was in power.

One of the reasons given behind the scenes at Itamaraty to justify Bolsonaro’s absence is the relationship between Honduran leaders and the party of Lula and Dilma Rousseff (PT). The former president was also invited, but, according to the press office, she will not be able to attend.
