Olta Tsaka called on Athens to stay away from this process and insisting that these statements do not respect the independent institutions of Albania
He made provocative statements on Saturday night the foreign minister of Albania Olta Tsaka with Twitter posts on the occasion of Greece’s reaction to the pre-trial detention of the candidate for mayor of Heimarra, Freddy Beleris.
Olta Chaka called on Athens to refrain from this process and insisting that these statements do not respect the independent institutions of Albania.
The Albanian Foreign Minister states in her posts:
“It is almost impossible to understand how our Greek friends have the right to challenge a court decision in our country when the hard evidence they have been looking for could not be more difficult – Freddy Beleris has been caught engaging in criminal activity against free and fair elections”
We do not understand how being a Greek citizen exempts him from the law as a citizen of Albania. We urge our Greek friends to refrain from statements that do not show respect for the independent institutions of our country.”
2/2 We do not understand how being a Greek national exempts him from the law as a citizen of Albania. We urge our Greek friends to refrain from making statements that disrespect the independent institutions of our country.
