Pressured Boris Johnson canceled a visit due to a Covid case in the family

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson will not pay a scheduled visit to the county of Lancashire in the North West of England today as a member of his family was diagnosed positive for the coronavirus, Downing Street announced.

It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

“The prime minister will follow the instructions for those vaccinated who come into close contact with cases, including daily tests and limiting contact with others,” the prime minister’s office said in a statement.

This development comes the day after Boris Johnson apologized to lawmakers for attending a rally with drinks in the Downing Street garden on May 20, 2020, amid a ban, with invited building workers.

The Prime Minister’s claim that he thought it was a business meeting is being insulted today by the majority of newspapers and has split the Conservative Party.

Three lawmakers and Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross have publicly stated that Mr Johnson’s position is no longer viable and should be relinquished. Late Wednesday night, however, after hours of silence, almost all government ministers declared either in the media or on social media that they supported the Prime Minister. In fact, Jacob Reese-Mogg, the deputy minister in charge of parliamentary work, described Mr. Ross as a “lightweight” politician.

Today, however, the “lukewarm” expression of support for the Prime Minister by the Minister of Finance, Risi Sunak, is considered by many to be the most dominant successor in the leadership of the party.

The sincerity of the Prime Minister’s apology in Parliament is further questioned by the Times article which states that immediately after yesterday’s meeting Boris Johnson told his MPs that he does not believe he personally did something wrong and that the government “accepts criticism of something not worth”.

Citizens’ dissatisfaction, however, is confirmed by each new poll. YouGov poll for the Times gives Labor a 10 percentage point lead in the vote, with 38% versus 28% for the Conservatives. It is the biggest lead for the main opposition party since the end of 2013.

The poll, conducted before Johnson’s apology, found that six out of ten people believe the prime minister should resign, including 38% of Conservative voters. 78% of respondents do not believe that Boris Johnson is honest in his answers about the reported parties.
