After the biggest and bloodiest battle of the war, the Russian paramilitary organization captured the long-suffering city on Saturday
The Russian mercenary organization Wagner began withdrawing its forces from the Ukrainian, flattened city Bahamut and is handing over its positions there to the Russian regular army, its founder Yevgeny Prigozhin said in a video released today.
The video was posted on Telegram by his press service and shows him Prigozhinin combat gear, standing next to a damaged apartment building and talking to the organization’s fighters.
“We are withdrawing the units from Bahamut. From today at five o’clock in the morning, May 25th to June 1st, most of the units will be moved to camps in the rear. We are surrendering our positions to the army,” he said.
Prigozhin, the leader of Russia’s Wagner troops, announced that his units have started “relocating” from Bakhmut to rear positions.
