“Turkey is determined to ensure peace between Moscow and Kiev, the Turkish president said Tayyip Erdogan to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, in the shadow of the Nova Kahovka dam disaster, stressing that Ankara is ready to provide all necessary support to end the conflicts.
“Conducting a thorough investigation into the dam explosion that will leaves no room for doubt it is important,” Tayyip Erdogan told Putin.
“An international commission could be created to investigate the explosion. As Turkey, we are ready to contribute,” he noted according to Turkish media.
Earlier, the Turkish president also contacted Volodymyr Zelensky. Erdogan also proposed to Zelenskiy the establishment of an investigative commission regarding the explosion at the dam.
The presidents of Turkey and Ukraine discussed the situation after the dam disaster, as well as the grain agreement.
“Ankara is ready to contribute to ensuring peace between Moscow and Kiev,” the Turkish president repeated to his Ukrainian counterpart in the phone call.
Erdogan proposed the recommendation to Zelensky investigative committee which will be made up of Russia, Ukraine, the UN and Turkey regarding the dam explosion.
