Alarm signaled early morning (local time) in Nottingham. According to the BBC, there are three dead in the city center, while a 31-year-old man has been arrested.

As reported by the BBC, police were initially called to Ilkeston Street shortly after 04:00, where two people were found dead on the road.

Officers were then called to another incident in Milton Street, where a van had tried to run over three people. These people are hospitalized.

Also, a man was found dead on Magdala Road. Nottingham Police believe that the three incidents are connected.

Nottingham Police have set up a dedicated phone line and are appealing for witnesses.

The Prime Minister of Britain Rishi Sunak thanked the police and emergency services for their continued response to what is happening in Nottingham. “I am informed about the developments,” the prime minister emphasized, adding: “The police must be given time to do their job. My thoughts are with the injured, the family and loved ones of those who lost their lives.”

Earlier, the Police cordoned off the city center due to a “serious incident”as he mentioned.

Many roads are closed, the city’s tram service has been suspended and citizens are being asked to avoid the centre.

It’s on point strong police presence with dozens of patrol cars, as well as ambulances, fire engines, but also men from the police unit that coordinates operations of multiple security services.
