Dutch NOS TV reported that the MIVD received information about an “imminent attack” on the pipelines from an unnamed source in Ukraine last June
The CIA had warn Ukraine not to destroy the Nord Stream pipelines, many months before the explosions that occurred in them, after being previously informed by the Dutch military intelligence agency (MIVD), write American media such as Politico and the Wall Street Journal.
Earlier, Dutch NOS TV reported that MIVD received information about an “imminent attack” in the pipelines from an anonymous source in Ukraine last June. Based on this plan, the Supreme Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, General Valery Zaluzny, headed the operation, which was to take place in mid-June 2022 and involved a small group of divers who would travel to the Baltic Sea on a sailboat. The MIVD informed the CIA which in turn warned Kiev not to proceed with this action.
The Dutch government and MIVD declined to comment on the report, which was broadcast by NOS in cooperation with German media outlets Die Zeit and ARD.
Last September the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines were ruptured by two explosions that Sweden and Denmark called “deliberate acts of sabotage’. In a recent interview, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denied any involvement of his country in the case. “I am the president and I give the orders. Nothing of the kind was done by Ukraine. I would never act that way,” he assured.
