Thousands of people are expected to fill the square of the Cathedral to say goodbye to the “Cavalier”
Preparations are feverish today in Milan as at 3 pm local time the state funeral of Silvio Berlusconi, who passed away on Monday at the age of 86, will take place in the Cathedral (Duomo).
According to the predictions of the organizers, up to two thousand people will be able to enter inside the church, while up to twenty thousand people will be able to watch the ceremony from two giant screens from the Duomo square.

Meloni and President Sergio Mattarella are among those who are going to attend the funeral, while our country will be represented by our ambassador to Italy Eleni Sourani.
According to ANSA, among the foreign leaders, the emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad, the president of Hungary Viktor Orban and the president of the EPP Manfred Weber will attend the funeral.

For today – the day of the Italian ex-prime minister’s funeral – a state of national mourning has been declared in Italy.
At the same time, the Italian newspaper La Repubblica underlines that the various obligations of all ministers have been canceled for at least three days, while in the Parliament and the Senate of Rome the votes will be stopped for a whole week, which is happening for the first time.
