An overnight attack by Ukrainian drones on a pumping station on the Druzhba oil pipeline in the Bryansk region, which borders Ukraine, was repelled by Russian air defense units, the region’s governor said today.

Three Ukrainian military drones were destroyed in the attack in the Novozibkov sector, Alexander Bogomaz wrote on Telegram.

Drone attacks inside Russia have been on the rise in recent weeks, often targeting energy facilities. Russia blames Ukraine, although Kiev does not publicly admit responsibility for them.

The southern branch of the Soviet-built Druzhba oil pipeline runs through Ukraine and, despite the war, continues to supply crude oil to Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
