The Taliban announced that they went ahead with the second public offering today implementation since August 2021 when they seized power in Afghanistan.

This is a man who was convicted of the murder of five people and is identified as “Ajmal, son of Naseem”.

Azmal was executed with one sphere in the mosque precinct in the eastern part of the country.

An official of the province’s Communication and Culture agency said that around 2,000 people attended the execution, including the parents of the victims, adding that it was carried out in accordance with Islamic law.

“He was publicly executed in the town of Sultan Ghazi Baba in Laghman province, in a way that he would not suffer and so that his death would serve as a lesson to others,” local officials said in a statement.

The first public execution by the Taliban took place in December in Farah province.

Public executions were common during the Taliban’s first rule, from 1996 to 2001. Those sentenced to death were usually executed with a bullet or by stoning, depending on the crime they had committed.
