The French Institute for Research on the Exploitation of the Seas (IFERMER – Institut Français de Recherche pour l’Exploitation de la Mer) sent the ship Atalante with a robotic submersible in the area of the North Atlantic where the tourist submersible Titan with five people aboard disappeared on Sunday.
The research ship Atalante it is expected to reach its destination tomorrow Wednesday around 9 pm (Greece time) and will be followed by the dive of the robotic submersible.

A French government official has confirmed that the 77-year-old French explorer is among the five aboard the tourist submarine Paul-Henri Narzolet, director of underwater research at the company that owns the rights to the Titanic wreck.
The submarine, owned by OceanGate Expeditions, carried tourists to the wreck of the Titanic.
According to information, the other four on board are: the American founder of OceanGate Stockton Rush, the British billionaire Hamish Harding (chairman and CEO of the private jet sales company Action Aviation), the Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son, Suleman.
