The president of the USA Joe Biden he does not believe that the fact that he called Chinese President Xi Jinping a “dictator” undermined or complicated Washington’s relations with Beijing!

In remarks he made Thursday night after meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the White House, Biden even said he hoped to meet with Xi, a plan he has hinted at several times in recent months.

When asked about Beijing’s reaction to his characterization of Xi, the US president replied that he “doesn’t think he had any real consequence”.

China’s foreign ministry expressed strong displeasure at Biden’s characterization of Xi Jinping, commenting that it was a serious violation of China’s political dignity and amounted to a public political provocation.

The US president made the comments during a reception in California, a day after US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken wrapped up his visit to Beijing, where he met with Xi in an effort to ease tensions between the two countries.
