In double killer the fight developed outside a beer bar in Ypsonas, Limassol in the early hours of Thursday. Dead from knife attacks are 51-year-old Michalis Michail, who died in the early hours of Friday, and 44-year-old Onisiforou, who died on Thursday.

Two suspects, 49 and 54 years old, were arrested for the case, who were placed in custody for 8 days yesterday. The offenses of premeditated murder, attempted murder, wounding, possession and transportation of an offensive weapon, carrying weapons and conspiracy to commit a felony are being investigated against them.

The double murder occurred when a 43-year-old man was allegedly attacked by the suspects, outside the bar where he was earlier with his two friends, who intervened to help him, as a result of which they were fatally stabbed.

Speaking to the Sigma channel, the head of the Limassol police department, Lefteris Kyriakou, characterized the case as a sad story, a tragic event.

“Based on the testimonies so far, a confrontation between the alleged perpetrators and a friend of the victims, a 43-year-old man, was caused and he was slightly injured. As was said in court, the 43-year-old had an episode in the previous days with the brother of the alleged perpetrators. From there the confrontation had started. The two actually went to help to stop the fight,” said the officer in charge of the police station.
