Young people broke the glass of the store and are trying to rob showrooms
Incidents occurred on Friday afternoon in the center of Strasbourg, where an Apple store was vandalized, according to the journalists of the Agence France-Presse (AFP).
Initially, the Les Halles shopping center, near Grande-Ile, was closed for fear of incidents. Groups of young people then gathered at Place Kléber in the city center and vandalized an Apple store.

“Two of the windows were broken and we saw gangs of young people coming in, coming out, trying to rob showrooms,” Corentin Flinck, who works in an adjacent shop, told AFP.
“Quickly, the police intervened with tear gas, but the gas entered the gallery shops and we had to protect several customers,” Flinck added. Many police officers were deployed in front of and around the Apple store. Several loud explosions were also heard near the store.

Galeries Lafayette, which also overlooks Place Kléber, also rolled down its shutters, as did many other stores in the area.
It is recalled that tram traffic has been suspended in the city center for fear of new incidents at night while the French president, Emmanuel Macron, asks parents to keep their children at home and not allow them to go out.
