Iran executed 582 people last year, more than any other country except China, according to human rights NGOs.
Iran’s judiciary announced that today three men were executedwho were found guilty because they drugged and they raped about 10 women in late 2021 in a beauty salon.
“They were hanged in Badar Abbas prison this morning”announced Moztaba Ghahramani, head of the Judiciary of Hormozgan Province, in southern Iran, as reported by Mizan Online.
The three men were found guilty “of raping a number of women in an illegal beauty salon,” the Iranian justice agency reported.
One of the men, who was a doctor’s assistant, lured seven victims through “false advertisements” in which he claimed to provide cosmetic surgery services, Mizan Online found. He then anesthetized them and raped them.
The two other men, nurses, were also convicted of rape.
