A scary experience lived o 63 years old Neville Lyndon when he opened a bag containing broccoli and found a live snake inside.

The 63-year-old father of three said he bought the broccoli at one branch of Aldi in the West Midlands, in the UK. When she took the bag of broccoli out of the fridge to cook it, he was surprised to see the snake inside, nestling in the broccoli.

The snake belongs to the Colubridae family and it is non-poisonoushowever it can its bite to cause serious injury.

“This incident was a huge risk for us as there are two people in the house who belong to vulnerable groups” he said and added that the incident scared him a lot because he doesn’t do well with snakes.

“By chance I didn’t just leave the broccoli in the kitchen and put it in the fridge because otherwise the snake would roam free in the househe added.

After the incident, the snake was taken to the Dudley Zoo while the store offered a refund to Lyndon, which he does not accept. THE 63-year-old Neville Lyndon is claiming more moneyas he points out the amount he offers the company does not compensate him for the danger the snake could cause to his son who is disabled and his mother-in-law who has health problems.

An Aldi spokesman told Sky News: “Our supplier has never had this type of complaint in the past and has initiated procedures to prevent further such occurrences. We are investigating this isolated incident and apologize by Mr Lyndon that our high standards were not met.’.
