At the lowest level since she took over the reins of the party and the country, she has retreated popularity of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Rishi Sunak among members of the Conservative Party.
The monthly poll by the website Conservative Home, which covers issues of party interest, shows that for the first time since last October, Mr Sunak has a negative score in terms of his popularity.
Specifically, his acceptance by Tory members has fallen to -2.7%, while at the beginning of June the percentage of those who had a positive opinion of him compared to those with a negative opinion was at +21.6%
However, Mr Sunak’s current score is still well above the respective worst performances of his predecessors Boris Johnson (-33.8%) and Theresa May (-50%)
Pollsters attribute the significant drop in Rishi Sunak’s popularity to a general sense of disenchantment among Conservative Party members, who in the latest polls have seen Labor leading by 22 percentage points in voting intention.
The most popular politician of the Conservatives is once again the Minister of Defense Ben Wallace, who is at +77%. He is followed by Foreign Secretary James Cleverley with +54% and Business Secretary and Tory rising star Kemi Badenoch with +43%.
A total of nine members of the government have a negative sign in the net popularity rating.
