In the 500 days of the war in Ukraine, 494 children were killed and 1050 children were injured, announced the Prosecutor General of Ukraine

These figures are not complete, as they refer only to those persons whose names have been identified.

In many areas, where hostilities continue as well as occupied territories, it is impossible to record data.

According to the figures announced by the UN yesterday, more than 500 children have been killed in the 500 days of the war, while the total number of civilians who have died since the start of the invasion has exceeded 9,000.

The UN points out that the number of dead civilians is much higher as the numbers mentioned refer to people who have been identified as victims of the war.

Since the beginning of the war, more than 10,500 Ukrainian citizens have been killed, 94,000 war crimes have been committed and 115,000 points of civilian infrastructure have been destroyed, announced the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin in a Telegram post, Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform reports.

According to Kostin, prosecutors, investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine and the police are working around the clock to bring the Russian invaders to justice before Ukrainian and international courts.

“There are already 353 suspects, 219 accused and 53 criminals received sentences in Ukrainian courts,” Kostin noted.

The Prosecutor General reported that, together with international partners, Ukraine created a real coalition of justice and that daily cooperation with the International Criminal Court (ICC) led to the first arrest warrant for Putin.

In addition, the International Center for the Prosecution of Crimes During the Aggression Against Ukraine (ICPA), which is the first element of the future court, was opened in The Hague and the International Register of Damages was created to ensure compensation for those affected by the war .

“The road to justice is not easy. But, we are moving forward. Along with the entire civilized world,” Kostin concluded.
