Polish prosecutors arrested yet another network member spying of Russia, bringing to 15 the total number of people who have been detained so far in the investigation of the case to fifteen, Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski announced today Monday.

A key logistical hub for Western military aid deliveries to neighboring Ukraine, Poland, its government says, has become a major target of Russian espionage and Russian destabilization efforts.

“The Homeland Security Agency arrested yet another member of a spy ring working for Russian intelligence,” Mr. Kaminski said via Twitter. “The suspect monitored military installations and ports” and “was systematically paid by the Russians for his services. This is the 15th person held in this investigation’ he added.

The Russian embassy in Warsaw did not immediately respond to an emailed request for comment from the Reuters news agency.
In June, Polish authorities arrested a Russian professional ice hockey player accused of espionage.

In March, Warsaw announced that it had dismantled an espionage network operating on behalf of Moscow, and that he arrested nine people pAccording to her, they planned acts of sabotage and monitored the railway connections with Ukraine.

A month later, Polish authorities announced that a 200-meter exclusion zone would be created around the Świnoujście LNG terminal (northwest), citing Russian intelligence.
