Spanish rescuers, who were searching the Atlantic for about 200 migrants who had left Senegal almost two weeks ago, today they spotted a boat with the same number of people on boarda spokeswoman told AFP.

“The Aircraft” who was in charge of the investigation “spotted a vessel that appears to be the one we were looking for because from the air, (rescuers) saw that there might be about 200 people on the boat,” he said, adding that a boat left the Canary Islands to rescue them.

The Walking Borders support group argues that the fishing boat sailed from Kafountine, a coastal town in southern Senegal that is approximately 1,700 kilometers (1,057 mi) from Tenerife.

In accordance with Spanish news agency Efethe help group states that there are many children inside the ship.

Also, there is information how two more boats carrying dozens of people are missing.

This new incident with immigrants comes a few days after the tragedy off Pylos.
