Downing Street announced last week that a member of his family tested positive for the virus. She did not say who the relative was, but she is said to be Romy’s daughter.
A source said he “suffered badly” but is now recovering.
Romi Iris Charlotte Johnson was born on December 9 at University College Hospital in London and lives in the apartment above No. 11 on Downing Street with the Prime Minister, Carrie’s 33-year-old mother and the couple’s eldest child, almost 2-year-old Wilfred.

Johnson did not appear in public for several days after last week’s announcement, only reappearing on Tuesday when he gave an interview to Sky News about the “Partygate” revelations that are flooding the government.
He even seemed emotional and frustrated – probably partly explained by the personal pressure on his family.
