The news of the arrival of the 6 French Rafale fighters in Greece made the rounds of the world.
The German DER SPIEGEL in its article entitled “Fighter aircraft over the Acropolis” and the headline “Greece is equipped” states that Greece’s investments are justified by Greece’s controversial relations with Turkey. The issue is to restore balance in the Mediterranean.
REUTERS in its telegram entitled “Greece receives the first Rafale fighters from France” refers to the six new fighters that flew over the Acropolis. It also refers to an agreement with France that has shaken the waters in Greece’s relations with Turkey.
The reception of the Rafale was of great concern to the French press, as expected.
