Addressing Polish leaders, Vladimir Putin said they had “forgotten” that “the western part of Poland is Stalin’s gift to the country”as broadcast by sky news.

In a speech to his security council, the president of Russia, accused Poland of having territorial ambitions in parts of the former Soviet Union. Moscow would consider any attack on close ally Belarus, which was part of the Soviet Union, an attack on Russia, he said.

He warned that the Kremlin would respond to aggression against Belarus “with all the means at our disposal.”

The Russian president’s comments come after the decision of Poland’s defense minister to move troops to its eastern border with Belarus on the occasion of the training of Belarusian soldiers by Wagner group fighters of Prigozhin.
