“The animal the authorities have been frantically searching for over the past 24 hours is not a lioness, but probably a wild boar,” announced the mayor of Kleinmachnos, the area where the animal was caught on video devouring a wild boar.

However, according to the mayor, independent experts assessed, using the video shot during the night, that “it is probably a wild boar”.
“I assume there is no danger in Berlin and the surrounding area,” said Michael Grubert, mayor of the city southwest of Berlin, announcing the end of the investigation.
