Officials say more than 60,000 tons of grain were destroyed last week.
Global markets have seen the price of grains rise by 8% within a day since Russia withdrew from the grain deal on July 17.
The head of Odessa, Oleh Kiper, said on his Telegram channel that Russia had been attacking infrastructure there for four hours with Iranian drones.
Three drones out of about 15 involved in the attack were destroyed by air defenses, Kiper added.
Four people were injured, one seriously, officials said.
Romanian President Klaus Iohannis condemned the attack, which he said was “very close” to his country.
“This recent escalation poses serious security risks in the Black Sea. It also affects the onward transit of grain from the United States of America (to Ukraine) and thus global food security,” he tweeted.
