The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson has announced the abolition of the obligation to undergo a coronavirus diagnostic test for fully vaccinated travelers arriving in England from abroad.
Travelers must have pre-ordered rapid antigen testing prior to arrival in the UK and must take this test by the end of the second day following the day of arrival.
Speaking at a Milton Keynes hospital at noon, Mr Johnson, without elaborating, said: “Although we have to be careful, we are now going through the Omicron wave and you can see that the indicators are starting to improve.
So what we do for travel to show that the country is open for business and for travelers, is that you will see changes, so that those who arrive [στην Αγγλία] they no longer need to be tested if they have been vaccinated, if they are next door vaccinated “.
It is noted that 74,799 cases of coronavirus were recorded in the United Kingdom on Sunday. In total, in the previous seven days, the cases are reduced by 15.4% compared to the previous corresponding period.
