Sasha Chang is accused of killing his 65-year-old father with a kitchen knife and then fatally stabbing their 60-year-old countryman, who was hosting them at his home for a short vacation.
The police launched a manhunt to locate and arrest the perpetrator, who fled to an adjacent forest area. Dozens of security forces with specially trained dogs, helicopters and volunteer hunters participated in the operation. The authorities had asked residents to stay in their homes, warning that the young Dutchman was extremely dangerous.
The 21-year-old Dutchman was literally caught sleeping, outside a chapel where he had taken refuge in exhaustion. Three police officers surprised him and handcuffed him. He was taken to a local hospital to receive first aid and is expected to be brought before an investigator soon.
