Denmark will donate 19 F-16 fighter jets in Ukraine, as the country’s prime minister said today Sunday Mete Frederiksen during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at Denmark’s Skrydstrup Air Base.

“Our pilots and engineers have already started training in Denmark,” Volodymyr Zelenskiy said in a message.

The message of the Ukrainian president:

“Very specific, meaningful, powerful conversations with Mette Frederiksen.

Our pilots and engineers have already started training in Denmark. 19 F-16 aircraft will be provided to Ukraine by Denmark. We work for the speed of education. Today we also discussed the possibility of expanding educational missions, the algorithm is clear. Our F-16 coalition is proving its effectiveness.

Dozens F-16 fighter jets will be delivered to Ukraine by the Netherlands and Denmark, when the conditions for their transfer will be met, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Volodymyr Zelensky announced earlier during Zelensky’s visit to The Hague. The president of Ukraine talked about 42 fighters.

It’s about her first real engagement concerning the supply of F-16s to the Ukrainian armed forces, which comes just days after the US approved the possible delivery of this type of fighter from the Netherlands and Denmark.
