A convicted murderer who escaped from a prison near Philadelphia 11 days ago has changed his appearance to avoid capture, shaving off his beard and mustache, according to photos released by police today after he was last seen. of the fugitive.

The images show Brazilian Danilo Cavalcande, 34, clean-shaven and wearing a hooded sweatshirt, black baseball cap, green prison pants and white shoes, police said. The photos appear to have been taken by security cameras on the front porch of a home.

According to police, Cavalcande was last seen Saturday night near the city of Phoenixville, about 30 miles northwest of Philadelphia.

The man escaped Aug. 31 from the Chester County Jail, where he was serving time after being sentenced Aug. 22 to life in prison for the April 2021 murder of his ex-girlfriend.
