2 additional people were identified and they are wanted – 6 police officers were injured
Announcement regarding yesterday’s incidents outside the building of the Region of Thessalyissued it Greek police headquarters.
As reported yesterday (10/9) in the afternoon, in Larissa, outside the building of the Region of Thessaly, a number of people gathered, some of whom attacked the police forces, using smoke bombs and other heavy objects.
The result of the attacks was the wounding of six (6) police officers, who were taken to the Hospital for first aid.
To repel these people, the police forces used the appropriate means and carried out 26 arrests, of which 7 were arrested, while an additional 2 were identified and are being sought.
A case file was filed against them for, on a case-by-case basis: disturbance of public peace, disobedience, violence against officials and judicial persons, crimes against the physical integrity of an employee, damage to foreign property and violation of the legislation on flares and fireworks.
It is noted that, by the General Regional Police Directorate of Thessaly, a Preliminary Administrative Examination (PDE) has already been ordered in order to investigate the actions of police officers, which are recorded in videos reproduced in media and social media.
