The details revealed are shocking for the action of the serial killer nurseLucy Letby, found guilty of murdering seven newborn babies in north-west England.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, a mother has revealed that Lucy Letby took a “degrading” photo of her newborn daughter with her feeding tube removed.

On the back of the photo, Letb wrote: “Caught in the act! She’s decided she’s a big girl now and doesn’t need to be tube fed anymore! X”

The little girl collapsed shortly after Letby’s shift ended and was taken to intensive care. She was subsequently diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a condition caused by brain damage, and her mother now fears her daughter’s health condition is a result of being injured by the serial killer.

The woman, who asked not to be named, wants police to investigate her child’s case and has taken legal action against the Countess of Chester Hospital where Letby committed her crimes.

Letby was found guilty of the murder of seven babies and the attempted murder of six others in the neonatal unit of the hospital between June 2015 and June 2016.

Cheshire Police have confirmed they are now looking into the cases of 4,000 children treated at the unit where Letby worked.

Earlier this week, Dr Dewi Evans, the expert on the case, told the Mail he has been investigating the cases since June 2014 and believes three other children may have been murdered and 15 injured by Letby.

He added that he believed letby initially worked by severing babies’ breathing tubes before its “mode of operation” changed to injecting air in June 2015.
