Many people were injured in an explosion that occurred today at a gas station in the capital of the Azeri enclave, Nagorno-Karabakh, the Armenian branch of the Russian news agency Sputnik reported.

The capital of Karabakh is known as Stepanakert to Armenia and Khankendi to Azerbaijan.

No further details have been released about the blast, which comes as thousands of Armenians flee the mountainous region after the defeat of Nagorno-Karabakh separatist forces by Azerbaijan in a military operation last week.
