A woman has been reunited with her cat 11 years after she reported it missing
Daisy failed to return home soon after her carer moved to Caerphilly, Wales, Sian Sixton, in 2012.
But according to the BBC, last week the woman received a surprise phone call from a vet who informed her that a cat wearing a microchip had arrived at his clinic.
“I’m still in shock,” said the 43-year-old. However, the cat’s clinical picture was not good, as it had the flu and was sneezing. The locals who were taking care of her as a stray cat thought she wouldn’t survive the winter and that’s why they took her to the vet.
Now 17 years old, Daisy has returned to her owner and is responding to medication. In fact, Daisy will also meet her sister who still lives with Sixton and there are two more cats in the house that she will have to meet, Tillie and Sparkle.
“She survived all this time and now, in her last days, she is finally coming back to us,” the 43-year-old said. “We hope she can live out the rest of her days with us,” he added.
“It will be very interesting to introduce them again. I wonder if they’ll recognize each other,” Sixton said.
