Milan Radovic absolves his party of any responsibility, stating that he alone decided to take armed action
The vice-president of the party “Serbian List” Milan Radovic claimed responsibility for the bloody incidents last Sunday, September 24, in the village of Bansko in northern Kosovo. Radojic, in a written statement read by his lawyer, said he organized the armed action in northern Kosovo to encourage the Serb population to resist.
“I, Milan Radojic, due to many speculations, inform the public opinion that together with my compatriots I came to the northern part of Kosovo, in the area of the village of Bansko. Our reason for returning is to encourage the Serbian people to resist the terror of the Kurti regime (sr. prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti) and to protect our people who are exposed to this terror every day and to revive the dream of freedom for my people in the north,” the letter reads.
Radojic absolves his party of any responsibility, stating that alone decided to take armed action because in the “Serbian List” – as he claims – there was a “division of opinions” about such a thing. It also states that he has resigned from the office of vice president in the party.
Milan Radovic also absolves Belgrade of responsibility, stressing that none of the Serbian leadership he did not know what he was planning to do nor did he receive any help in arms from Serbia.
It characterizes those who participated in the “armed resistance” as “fighters for freedom” and rejects the description of “terrorists” attributed to them by Pristina.
In his letter, Milan Radojic states willing to respond at the request of the Serbian Prosecutor’s Office.
His lawyer denied that Radojic was injured and is in hospital, said he is not in hiding but refused to reveal his whereabouts.
