More than 20 years have passed since the first Shrek movie and its popularity has not faded. Now, fans of the films can experience one of the most iconic sets in the film series.

Shrek’s Swamp, a small house hosted by Donkey while Shrek is away for Halloween, has been described as “a stocky, isolated retreat fit for a dragon seeking solitude,” and Airbnb is offering accommodation in a recreation of what we’ve seen in animated films.

Like the original, this three-dimensional version is a villager’s hut under the roots of an unusually large cut log. Ahead, several signs warning of the presence of a dragon and an outdoor shower. Inside, charming decor with wooden furniture and more tree roots spread across the walls and ceiling as well as a cozy fireplace next to the dining table.

“Nestled deep in the forests of the Scottish Highlands and with all the comforts that Shrek has gathered over the years, it offers a unique retreat.

This all-mud, moss-covered, murky water-fed oasis is a perfectly warm place to escape village life and embrace the beauty of nature,” the ad said.

Consistent with the cottage’s rustic charm, the property does not have Wi-Fi, TV, kitchen, washing machine or air conditioning.
