An Israeli was shocked when he saw a video online of his brother being kidnapped by Hamas terrorists.

Uriel Bobot, 31, and his family experienced the horror when a friend showed them a video of his brother, 34-year-old Elkanah, who has been held captive since Saturday when Hamas launched its invasion.

“Hamas caught my brother, I recognized him. At least he’s alive”

As reported by the Daily Mail, Beaubott said: “I immediately recognized him because of his blond hair and I said, ‘Oh my God! They’ve got my brother’.”

The video showed Elkanah alive, being forced into a truck headed back to Gaza. An estimated 150 people were captured by Hamas on Saturday during its attack on Israel, which responded with devastating airstrikes and a siege of the Gaza Strip.

“Video is a sign of life”

After seeing the video in San Francisco, he himself took the first flight to Jerusalem.

“When we realized that Hamas was attacking, we called Elkanah and he told our mom, ‘I’m fine and I’m just helping people get out of here,'” he described. “I know my brother and he would never leave anyone behind – and I think that’s why they got him. But at least we have this video, which is a sign of life.”

“Our mother is devastated, I want to bring my brother back”

“I want to show the world his face. I want to bring him back. We are scared and our mother is devastated, but he is strong and I know he will persevere. He knows the world is watching. Our mother is sobbing on the bed holding his shirt. We have lost our minds,” he added.
