“We created an illusion of neutrality so that the ‘enemy’ would not know about our impending operation” – “Hamas ready for any scenario, and for a ground invasion”
The representative of the military wing of Hamas, who is known as Abu Obaidah, claimed in a speech that the terrorist organization started preparations for last Saturday’s surprise attack from 2022.
He said they deliberately concealed their intentions, refrained from commenting on various incidents, sidestepped confrontations between factions in Gaza and Israel, and they created an illusion of neutrality so that the “enemy” would not be aware of their impending business.
“This strategy has been wildly successful, and Israel, in its current military campaign, is resorting to murder and bloodshed to cover up his failures instead of making a proper assessment” he stated.
According to him, in view of the operation, Hamas managed to secretly recruit 4,500 fighters. He claimed that the ground invasion of Israel involved cyber warfare, in addition to firing thousands of rockets and disabling military cameras.
“We provided defense for all our fighters and successfully concealed the entire plan, including the mobilization of resources and the acquisition of the necessary resources,” he said.
He added that Hamas is ready for any scenario, including of the land invasion, and warned that “if Israel takes such action, we will receive new measures which will lead to significant losses for the enemy”.
He addressed the hostages saying: “We have enough negotiating papers to press for your release.”
