“I hope that everyone will come to their senses and sit down at the negotiating table,” Lavrov said, adding that the decisions of the UN Security Council, the new reality and the developments since 1967 should be taken into account.
Alexei Zaitsev, a spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, said during the weekly briefing on Friday that Russia was making efforts to ensure the removal of Russian citizens from the war zone. He added that Moscow remains in contact with key actors in the Middle East to ensure the removal of civilians through humanitarian corridors and on issues related to the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed that efforts are underway to locate Russian citizens who wish to leave the conflict zone.
