Raisi called for “strengthening the cooperation” of the countries of the region in order to “solve the problems” without the intervention of “foreign countries”
The president of Iran Ibrahim Raisi lamented today the “lack of unity” of “Muslim areas” which, if they coordinated their actions, could prevent Israel’s “attack” on Gaza Strip.
Welcoming its new ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Tehran, the first after seven years of severing diplomatic relations between the two countries, Raisi called for “strengthening the cooperation” of the countries of the region in order to “solve the problems” without the intervention of “foreign countries”. The “unified stance” of the Muslim world could prevent “the oppression and aggression of the Zionist regime and the extremes of its Western supporters in a more effective way,” he continued, according to the Irna news agency. “The presence of foreigners in the region not only does not solve any problems, but in itself represents a factor in exacerbating the problems,” he added, without naming the countries he meant.
Iran often criticizes the US for its role in the Middle East, and Raishi had already called on Muslim and Arab countries to “coordinate to stop the crimes” of Israel.
