A clown dressed as the terrifying character Pennywise from Stephen King’s horror novel ‘IT’ has been making mysterious appearances in recent weeks in an area of Scotland.

The unidentified man has been uploading pictures of himself online in various locations in Ayrshire, around the Skelmorley villagecausing both interest and fear, so much so that in the village which is located on the west coast of Scotland parents forbade their children to go out at night.

In the first challenge to the residents of Skelmorley the clown had left outside some houses a red balloon and a black box which is usually used to carry or store money. But those who unlocked the box saw their reflection in a mirror on which was written the word “CLOWN».

A few days ago the clown raised the biggest so far challenge to the people of Scotland, but also of the rest of the United Kingdom, through a riddle.

The riddle alludes through the use of rhyme to the more famous sights of Scotland and the clown challenge is whoever can figure out which sights are being referred to go there and take the scariest selfie photo that can.

Among the most obvious monuments and sites included in the puzzle are Edinburgh Castle, Loch Ness and the summit of Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain.

The clown is asking for the photos to be posted on social media with the hashtag #Skelmorlieclown and already many thieves are responding to his call.

At the beginning of the month, the clown provoked the police to arrest him with a “message to the media”.although there is no suspicion of an offense being committed.
