The president of Russia Vladimir Putin he accused the USA today that they are responsible for the chaos and destruction in the Middle East, three weeks after the Israeli armed forces began pounding the Gaza Strip in retaliation for the unprecedented October 7 attack on southern Israel.
“The death of thousands of innocent people cannot be justified,” Putin said, and reiterated that Moscow still supports the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, seeing it as the only solution for sustainable peace in the region.
“The ruling elites in the US and their satellites are the beneficiaries of global instability,” the Kremlin strongman said, arguing that they were responsible for developments not only in the Middle East, but also in Ukraine, Iraq and Syria.
Vladimir Putin also blamed Kiev and the West for instigating the riots that broke out Sunday night at the airport in Makhachkala, the capital of the Dagestan republic, where a mob threatened passengers on a flight from Israel.
