Egypt is setting up hospitals near its border with the Gaza Strip, preparing for a possible influx of wounded Palestinians
Egypt may accept a large number of wounded Palestinians from Gaza, the head of Egypt’s State Intelligence Service said, amid pressure on the country to allow Palestinian refugees in, the Wall Street Journal reported in a note.
Egypt is also ready to send thousands of aid trucks to the Gaza Strip, but “the Israeli military is deliberately slowing down the process to prevent aid from entering”Diaa Raswan told reporters in front of the Rafah border crossing.
Israel agreed to allow food, water and medicine into Gaza on the condition that it inspect the trucks.
