THE Italian Minister of Agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida was reported in her news today “off schedule” stopwhich he performed train just outside the Rome so he could get off and get to an anti-mafia rally outside Naples in time. Many Italian media, as well as the opposition as a whole, accused Lollobrigida of private use of public transport.

Today, Lollobrigida replied that “he is not going to resign”, but, “as in the past, and this time he is not going to avoid the dialogue in the parliament”.

“I got off the train to go to work, not to go on vacation or go see my family. I acted for the interest of the Italian state, to represent it in the Caivano region, in the Italian South,” concluded Lollobrigida, who is the son-in-law of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

It is recalled that in Caivano the presence of the local mafia, the Camorra, is very strong and the Italian state is trying to react to send the message that legality can prevail.

“Both the railways and the agriculture minister have given all the necessary explanations. I consider that this specific case has ended” said, finally, the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and leader of the Forza Italia party Antonio Tajani.
