As he points out in his post: “I told him that it is the same Hamas that committed the horrible massacre of October 7 and the same Hamas that is trying to assassinate us everywhere. I told him that we have sworn, that I have sworn to eliminate Hamas. Nothing will stop us. We will continue this war until we achieve three goals: The release of all hostages, the total elimination of Hamas, and ensuring that no other similar threat ever comes from Gaza again.”
Blinken to Netanyahu: “Let the citizens in Gaza be protected”

THE United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on his part he asked today from him Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “to protect civilians” in the southern sector of the Gaza Strip if the ceasefire with Hamas ends and military operations resume. During their meeting in Israel this morning, the US Secretary of State “pointed to the need to meet humanitarian needs and protect civilians in southern Gaza before any military operation”according to a statement from the State Department.
Anthony Blinken also asked the Israeli judiciary to take immediate action on “the extremist settlers who commit atrocities against Palestinians in the (occupied) West Bank.”
Mr. Blinken reiterated that the United States remains committed to concrete steps to advance a Palestinian state living in peace, freedom and security alongside Israel.
