Two people were killed, 10 were injured and a family of three are believed to be trapped under rubble after overnight Russian missile strikes in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk region, Ukrainian officials said today.
Earlier officials said one person was killed after six rockets hit the three settlements of Pakrovsk, Novorodivka and Mirnokhrad. In the afternoon, rescuers recovered a second body from the rubble, according to Ukrainian police.
Police reported on the Telegram app that a 33-year-old woman, a 38-year-old man and an eight-year-old girl may be among the rubble of an apartment building in Novorotivka.
Interior Minister Ihor Klimenko said earlier that 10 people including four children were injured and added that nine private houses, a police station, cars and garages were damaged.

Earlier the Ukrainian military said its air defense forces shot down 14 of 20 drones launched during a nighttime Russian attack.
