Earlier today, President Biden urged the US Congress to approve additional funding for Ukraine – before the Christmas recess – and announced a new $200 million military aid package to Kiev.
For his part, Zelensky told Biden that his country is now less dependent on foreign aid and expressed gratitude for strengthening Ukraine’s air defenses. The presidents of the two countries will hold a joint press conference after the conclusion of their meeting, which followed Zelensky’s visit to the Capitol.
