Hunter Biden, the son of the US president, today gave a rare press conference to clear his father of any suspicion of involvement in his controversial activities, which are under the microscope of the Republican opposition.

“Let me say as clearly as possible, my father was never financially involved in my activities“, assured the 53-year-old, in a strict style, in the interview given in front of the US Congress building.

“Not when I was a lawyer, not when I was on the board of (Ukrainian gas giant) Burisma, not when I was doing business with a Chinese, not when I was investing here or abroad and certainly not when I was an artist,” he pointed out.

Conservatives, who hold the majority in one of the two houses of the US Congress, the House of Representatives, accuse Joe Biden of using his influence as Barack Obama’s vice president (2009-2017) to allow his son to pursue controversial business ventures in China and Ukraine.

For this reason, an investigation has been launched in Congress with a request for his impeachment, which they intend to formalize later today.

The president, Democrats and his son deny the allegations.

Hunter Biden, a 53-year-old former businessman, is a prime target of the American right.

In front of the US Congress today, he admitted that he “has made mistakes in his life”.

But he accused “Trump supporters” of trying to “possess him” in order to “hurt” his father.

“For six years now, they have invaded my privacy, targeted my wife, my children, my family, my friends. They made a mockery of my battle against addictions,” he complained.

For these reasons, Hunter Biden refused to testify in a closed-door hearing organized by Republicans, who summoned him to appear on Capitol Hill today.

“During my battle with addiction, my parents were there for me, they literally saved my life,” Joe Biden’s youngest son said today.

In his book “Beautiful Things” (2021), Hunter Biden recounts his addiction to alcohol and drugs and his failed attempts at rehab.

The 53-year-old declares that he is now “clean”. He remarried and is the father of a little boy, Bo, as his dead brother was called. He is now engaged in painting.
