The US president warned earlier this month that if Putin wins the war in Ukraine, then Russia will attack a NATO country
US President Joe Biden’s claim that Russia will attack a NATO country if it wins the war in Ukraine is “absolute nonsense”, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, adding that Russia has no interest in fighting with the military alliance of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
The US president warned earlier this month that if Putin wins the war in Ukraine, then Russia will attack a NATO country. President Biden did not provide clear evidence for his comment.
“This is absolute nonsense – and I think President Biden understands that,” Putin said in an interview broadcast today by state-run Rossiya television.
He also noted that this is an attempt by Biden to justify his “wrong policy” regarding Russia.
“Russia has no reason, no interest — neither geopolitical interest, nor economic, political nor military — to fight with NATO countries,” the Russian president stressed.
