More than 700 Airbus Atlantic staff fell ill after the company’s Christmas dinner, according to French health authorities.
Group workers in western France suffered from vomiting and diarrheathe Agence Régionale de Santé (ARS) reported.
So far it is not known exactly what was included in the dinner that the employees consumed, while an investigation has been launched to find the source of it mass food poisoning.
Airbus told the BBC that only “about 100 became ill” while in a statement it said it was working with ARS “to identify the cause of the illness and ensure this cannot happen again in the future”.
In fact, the BBC, in its article, recalls that in France this year, several people got food poisoning while a woman from Greece died after contracting the rare foodborne disease botulism in a restaurant in Bordeaux.
