“In recent years we see more and more often in our parishes children from new types of families, children of separated and divorced parents, same-sex couples or single-parent families,” the priest of the church told Reuters.
“I wanted to show with this scene that families are no longer just the traditional ones” said Father Vitaliano Della Sala, known in Italy for his sympathy for the LGBTI community.
